Aundrae Russell is the host of “Spread the Word”, the Stellar Award winning radio show on the legendary 102.3 KJLH in Los Angeles. He is also the CEO of Stevie Wonder’s “We are You Foundation” – a non-profit organization created to assist underprivileged children.
During his career he has worked as a television sportscaster and news anchor, radio programmer, and D.J. He has been selected as Radio Program Director of the Year, Gospel DJ of the Year, Radio Executive of the Year, and most recently, one of the 100 Most Influential African Americans. He served as the half time voice and music coordinator for the Los Angeles Lakers for nine years and was awarded three NBA Championship rings. Also an accomplished writer, he has written for various magazines and newspapers across the country.
Aundrae has served as Master of Ceremony and interviewed notable gospel artists such as Shirley Caesar, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Charles Jenkins, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence, Mary Mary, Deitrick Haddon, Mali Music, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, The Winans Family, Donnie McClurkin, Tye Tribbett, The Williams Brothers, Anthony Brown. He has provided advice and guidance to many local artists and choirs.
